History:

Liberty Cabinets has been in business since 1986. We are a family operated business. Woodworking is our specialty and our trademark, as we have been attending to the needs of our customers since 1920.

The business began when we were manufacturing and dealing in furniture in the Middle East. As time passed, we added carpentry and cabinetry making to our business, thereby expanding our trade and allowing us to reach a vast number of people. The business has been successfully passed down from grandfather to father to son due to the apprenticeship that was prevalent in the family.

From that point, the apprentices were further educated in Europe as well as the United States, having successfully established themselves within those regions of the world. What originally was MOBA DECOR in the Middle East became Liberty Cabinets in Huntington Beach, California. The owner and chief manufacturer of the cabinets sold at Liberty Cabinets is George I. Moubayed. Not too long after his apprenticeship, George was further educated at the L'Ecole des Arts De l'Industrie in Paris, France, where he studied interior design. He then went on to establish Liberty Cabinets, which has been in business since 1986. In 1998, Liberty Cabinets became a corporation and has since relocated to the city of Stanton, also in California.

Liberty Cabinets Inc. is located in the city of Stanton, in a 10,000 square foot facility. Due to the complexity and skill demand of our work, we use state-of-the-art machinery and equipment to fulfill the needs of our customers.

Liberty Cabinets Inc. is a registered member of the Stanton Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau.

- George I. Moubayed, President/CEO:

Mr. Moubayed has over 30 years of experience in woodworking and cabinet making. He began dealing in the manufacturing and sale of furniture in his father's business in the Middle East, where he was apprenticed. Soon afterwards, they added carpentry and cabinet making to the business, thereby expanding their trade and reaching a larger demographic of consumers. In 1966, Mr. Moubayed went to Paris, France, where he studies Interior Design at the prestigious Ecole Superieure Des Arts Appliquée A L'Industrie. He then moved to California to establish Liberty Cabinets i Hutington Beach which has been in business since 1986. In 1997, Liberty Cabinets became a corporation and has since relocated to the new headquarters in Stanton. George holds a Contractor License with the California State License Board and is bonded.

- Mireille J. Moubayed - A.A., B.A., Executive Administrative Assistant/Accounting Manager

Miss Moubayed has been employed at Liberty Cabinets, Inc. since 1997. Since her arrival, she has assisted in managing some of our larger corporate accounts (i.e. Millennium Pacific Asset Management; Designtex Enterprises, Ltd.). Her primary responsibilities include handling all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivables, cash flow control, preparing deposits, assists in overseeing final stages of project acquisition (both private and corporate), and resolves disputes relating to workman's compensation, company liability insurance, state contractor issues and license bonding. Miss Moubayed is head of the Human Resources Department and is an advocate relating to all matters and concerns having to do with Employee Rights and Benefits. Miss Moubayed holds an A.A. degree in Commercial Music from Golden West College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications (Radio/TV/Film) from California State University, Fullerton.

- Michel I. Moubayed - B.S. (Vice-President/ Senior Engineer)

Mr. Moubayed has been with Liberty Cabinets Inc. since the company opened in 1986. He has over 15 years experience in the field of cabinetry and woodworking. His primary responsibilities include the construction and manufacturing of our beautiful cabinetwork, overseeing all aspects of production from start to finish and heading our sales force. Mr. Moubayed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Texas, Houston.
